there wasn't a sight like this back home in the dry desert. scott had only seen the beach once before. probably around the age of six. he had gone on vacation with his parents while they were still around. but he didn't remember the view being this pleasant. scott's eyes squinted to the distant waves, his eyes following a surfer as they glided across them. dazzled by the surfer, scott made a mental note to himself to get surfing lessons one day.
maddie, his bulldog, was staring up at him, as if asking what the hell they were doing just sitting there. either that or she was hungry. probably both, knowing maddie. scott smirked down at her, scratching behind her ear before he lied down on his bare back, soaking in the sun rays. might as well get an even tan while he was out. it was nice and peaceful. that is, until maddie began to growl at someone who seemed to be approaching…

A day like to day could not be spent indoors, that would just be a shame. It was beautiful, sunny and warm day and all Lexi wanted to do was bask in the sun and enjoy the simple things in life. Like the feeling of sand between your toes and the sound of the ocean, all while laying down and tanning. Of course by the end of the day she wold probably end up looking like a lobster. She could never perfect the art of tanning, at least without letting burnt at first. Having pretty fair skin she had to be careful, reminding herself to put on sun screen. The walk to the beach wasn't that long and was quite enjoyable, stopping on the way to get a vanilla ice cream cone dipped in cherry. Lexi totally adored those things but they always ended up melting before she could finish them.
Dressed in a purple bikini top and shorts, she took her flip flops off as reached the sand. It was long before a few familiar friends greatted her convincing Lexi to play a bit of beach volley ball with them. Lexi wasn't good at most sports except dancing and cheerleading if you count that. However it was just f un game, a good time to laugh at your friends and joke around and Lexi was all up for that. As the game got under way Lexi fell in the sand many times and even got hit in the head once. Its the sun i swear i cant see she said laughing knowing very well they all knew she was joking and that it was just her clumsiness.
As she ran backwards trying to get the ball that had been hit a Little to far her body collided with something on the ground and she fell. It took her a brief moment to realize she had landed and was now pretty much laying on some guy. She lifted her head up from his chest and looked down at him with a smile. [b Why hello there
[/b] she said letting out a small laugh. You had to admit it was kind of funny just landing on top of a stranger, a very cute one to. she isn't going to bite me is she? she asked the guy about his dog. Lexi loved dogs but she wasn't a idiot specially when one was growling at her. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/center][/size]

"why hello, there," she said with a small laugh. scott had to admit, the laugh was quite cute. all anger faded when he caught a glimpse of her smile. "hi," he muttered as he sat up, not knowing exactly what to say. scott had always been horrible at charming women, especially the cute ones. "she isn't going to bite me, is she?" scott's quickly glanced over at maddie, who was now on all fours, still growling. so that's what she was growling at… he thought. scott scratched the back of her ear and she immediately sat back down, ceasing her growling. "nah, she's actually pretty friendly," scott finally said, no longer muttering his words. "she was only growling because she thought you were going to hurt me… which you did," he joked, putting a hand to his chest where she landed.
scott focused in on the girl's features, observing every single detail to her face and the little clothing she had on. california girls are much better than vegas girls, he thought to himself as he smirked without realizing it. he was probably coming off as creepy as he sat there in silence just staring at her.
